I have done a Graduation as an Executive Secretary, and had the opportunity to work for several International Companies in Belgium. Even earning good I was still having a feeling that “ am happy but not really happy, am satisfied with all what I have but internally still feeling that something is missing”.
I studied, got a job, worked hard, earned money, bought all material things I needed for a comfort life, spent money in travelling, discovering countries .. all this has its importance for sure and gave me happiness but just for a while, for a short time….
I am born in Belgium, grew up and did my studies in Brussels, my parents are from India. I started to travel to India, and got closer to the needy ones. I realized there that even few of them having almost nothing they still keep smiling, no complaining, struggling every day, every moment… I started to learn, to understand life …to understand why we say ” we can buy a delux bed but not sleep”, ” we can buy medicine but not good health”, ” we can buy comfort but not peace” ….there are things u can’t buy…
Well my life story is long but in short will say that the happiness I feel when I share my care, my love, with the one who needed gives me entire internally satisfaction, peace , an endless happiness… I get more than I give …unconditional love and compassion … that’s what I was missing !!!
In Belgium I started doing volunteer work in old age homes, hospitals… I used to spend time with aged, sick people. They suffer more from loneliness than their disease.
My office work provides me all what I need to have a comfort life materially – my social work provides me peace, endless happiness, gives me strength to face life problems, not only mine but others as well.
I like to travel all over, discovering different culture, meeting people, enjoy life but I always also try to combine my trip with some social project or work to have that great feeling of endless happiness and interior peace, which help me to make my trip memorable not just for me but for others as well….It will take me maybe half day of my holidays to go in an orphanage or disabled center to do some charity or spend time with them or celebrate a new year party or bday with them but it will give me so much energy, love in return that I can’t explain.
There are things you don’t see but exist like the wind, things that you can feel but can’t explain like happiness. I live one ordinary life but always keep in my mind my life’s target: sharing my care & cheering up
